My new dumb phone

I got a new unlocked dumb phone from nokia, the 6030link to replace my old 6010 with the broken 5 key.

I think I must one of those people who drive e:paul crazy - I actually want a phone for voice communication and all that other stuff doesn't really matter to me (most of the time). I think it would drive me even loonier than I already am if I had internet access everywhere.

e:strip with linux and flashplyer 7

For what it is worth, this is what e:strip's publish box looks like running firefox in linux using flashplayer 7 (there is no flashplayer 8) after our e:paul 's recent upgrade e:news,914

As you can see there no helpful style widgets or buttons. And clicking "Click here . ." does nothing.

On a brighter note, e:strip seems to work well if one uses a distro that works with the flashplayer 9 beta for linux. Unfortunately, that isn't every distro. And it's not the distro on e:leetee 's box.

Hopefully, I'll put a distro with working flashplayer 9 on e:leetee 's box before she gets tired of trying to remember tags and the reduced functionality. Or she'll end up posting more from the old box upstairs that has working flashplayer 9.

Polish Men

Our friend and neighbor, Kristen, had a tree trimming party Satday evening. e:leetee and I were invited. Among the other guests was a morbidly obese woman I shall refer to as "L" for the purposes of this post.

After I left, the remaining guests played "Scattergories" e:leetee gave the answer of "piwo" which is the Polish word for "beer." "L" started upon a rant about how all Polish men are abusive and idiots. When e:leetee told "L" that I was Polish, "L" said that all Polish men are alcoholics.

All I can say is that I am glad that was not around when this shit was said. I don't like bigots and I don't react with kindless and love to their bigotry.

Later, "L" said that she was in pain and that she didn't have her morphine pills with her so she was cranky. My opinion is that "L" lost her inhibition about expressing her hatred because of the pain. It is my further opinion that her pain did not cause her to be bigoted again as Poles.

My Theory is that sometime in her life an alcoholic and abusive Polish man hurt her so from that moment on, all Polish men were the same way.

I've used up all my "excess nice" writing this post.

'nuff said.
